Sad they rot on the ground. As a child we knew an elderly couple who had the best green apples. I loved going over there and getting apples but they were real picky. They told us we could get all the apples we wanted off the ground. Well, they fell off the tree and were bruised. I wanted the good apples off the tree so I would sneak and get me a few off the tree.
